Spire's experts provided arbitration support services for a nationally recognized construction law firm on behalf of a publically owned interstate natural gas pipeline developer. The project consisted of mechanical, civil, instrumentation and electrical work to expand the capacity of an existing compressor station, construct a new compressor station and install several hundred miles of pipe. As a result of several months of alleged delays, disruptions, acceleration and other impacts, a top 100 EPC firm filed suit against the developer. Accordingly, Spire's construction experts evaluated the performance of the parties and the claimed $16,000,000 in damages alleged by the developer and the EPC firm in a compressed timeframe.
Spire's forensic evaluation consisted of performing a windows analysis to identify and quantify the delays/acceleration efforts and a measured mile analysis to quantify the productivity loss incurred on the project. Spire's findings assisted the law firm with the successful resolution of the claim during discovery saving the client time and money. Furthermore, Spire's actual cost were 15% below its approved budgeted cost of work performed.
