Position Summary
Spire Consulting Group, LLC is an established, multi-disciplined construction management and engineering consulting firm serving owners, general contractors, attorneys, financial institutions and sureties. Spire is currently seeking Senior Consultants to assist with a variety of construction consulting projects in its Austin, Texas and San Francisco California offices.
Responsibilities
- Quantify damages for construction disputes
- Evaluate productivity impacts
- Perform risk analysis and document recommendations
- Evaluate project planning, costs and schedules
- Evaluate damages involving standard of care and due diligence
- Quantify and document delays
- Analyze and prepare construction claims
- Perform changer change order analysis
- Manage, review and analyze project documents
- Legal research of industry standards
- Development and management of CPM schedule and project controls
- Generate and evaluate construction cost estimates
- Review labor and equipment productivity
- Manage contractors and other consultants
- Perform value engineering
- Construction defect analysis
- Lender acquisition and due diligence evaluations
- Develop and prepare construction and project training programs
Skills
- Understanding of project management processes and procedures
- Experience or ability to learn standard industry tools such as Primavera, timberline, rs means and MS project
- High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and integrity
- Self-starter and ability to interact and communicate with a variety of individuals at multiple levels within the organization with minimal supervision required
- Possess strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail and exceptional analytic abilities
- Demonstrate leadership, possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and the desire to continually enhance professional capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting required goals and deadlines
- Be open to travel on an as needed basis
- Be willing to attend continuing education seminars and conferences
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required
- Master’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in dispute resolution
