South Lamar Plaza
Located in the heart of the South Austin neighborhood, Greystar’s South Lamar Plaza is a mixed-use redevelopment consisting of 445 apartment units, and 90,000 square feet of eclectic dining, shopping, and entertainment. The iconic urban development also features the historic Alamo Drafthouse and Highball. As the construction consultant for the $70 million project, Spire Consulting Group was awarded the project planning, project controls, and schedule development and oversight scopes of work to support Greystar’s construction management team. More specifically, Spire developed the WBS structure of the project, and built teams to elaborate the work execution plan and sequence. The Plaza had a number of turnovers and critical delivery milestones which, when completed, will deliver significant revenue streams to Greystar’s partners and investors. The architectural team for this project included Michael Hsu Office of Architecture and BOKA Powell. BIG RED DOG performed the civil engineer and land use consulting scope for the project. Landscape Architectural design was provided by DWG. The Sterling Engineering Group provided the structural engineering design, and EN Incorporated was responsible for the MEP Design. Construction on this project began in January 2013.
