Spire Associate Principal and PM/CM expert, Michael Nosbisch, CCP, PSP, FAACE, will be delivering multiple presentations at the 30th Annual International Integrated Program Management (IPM) Workshop, taking place at the George Washington University’s Marvin Center in Washington D.C. on November 13-15, 2018. Hosted by the College of Performance Management (CPM), the 2018 IPM Workshop is an opportunity to learn more about integrating cost, schedule, and scope performance measurement techniques, including earned value management (EVM). The Workshop will include current topics from practicing professionals as well as focused training sessions on more basic program and project management principles.
On November 14, Mr. Nosbisch will be presenting on two topics: How to Ensure Change Management C/S Integration Implementation, and Reporting & Controlling Performance, the first of which will be co-presented with Karen Roberts, President of TICE, Inc., a key teaming subconsultant to Spire.
How to Ensure Change Management C/S Integration Implementation will provide strategies and practices that can be used to effectively manage cost and schedule integration across various software applications and tools during the change management process. Mr. Nosbisch and Ms. Roberts will leave attendees with an appreciation for the kind of process required to maintain cost and schedule integration in the respective tools, as well as the complexities in ensuring historical data is maintained and integrated properly.
In his second presentation, Reporting & Controlling Performance, Mr. Nosbisch will introduce concepts and principles that will allow attendees to understand the importance of analyzing data at the project level, including indirect costs, contingency/management reserve usage and schedule reserve. Mr. Nosbisch will also discuss data summarization at various management levels, the importance of data accuracy and reporting timeliness for effective project decision making, and how EVM and schedule-based data are used to make management decisions.
Mr. Michael Nosbisch, CCP, PSP, FAACE, has more than 30 years of project management and project controls experience with a focus on estimating, cost engineering, scheduling, pricing and compliance, earned value management, and document control. Mr. Nosbisch has led project controls groups for several of the leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms in the industry, helping support their public and federal portfolios. Additionally, Mr. Nosbisch has been responsible for multiple successful EVM compliance and consulting practices for leading management consulting firms, managing several engagements in support of government agencies and contractors performing large, technically complex projects both within the United States and overseas. Mr. Nosbisch received his Masters of Engineering Management degree from the George Washington University with an emphasis in Environmental and Energy Management.
