Spire Consulting Group Partners with the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas
On the afternoon of April 1st, Spire Consulting Group partnered with the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas to service a portion of the 46,000 Texans who depend on meal assistance each week. Spire had 5 of the nearly 20 volunteers present that day, adding to the diverse group of students, senior citizens and working professionals who donated their time in the name of service. During the 3-hour session, participants inspected and sorted food, ensuring that only the safest food left the warehouse, to support the Food Bank’s mission to nourish hungry people and lead the community in ending hunger. With nearly 60 hours of combined work in one afternoon, 1.3-tons of food was sorted and 2,200 meals were assembled for the families of Central Texas.
Spire upholds a standard of service both in and out of the office, partnering with organizations that take pride in investing in the community. Michael Simpson, Operations Manager, was “pleased to support the Capital Area Food Bank for the third time in the last year and assist in their mission to serve over 40,000 community members each week”.
