Spire Expands Austin Office by Adding Nour Bouhou as Associate Consultant – June 2015.
Spire is pleased to announce the addition of Nour Bouhou as an Associate Consultant in the Austin office. In this role, she will assist owners, contractors and subcontractors across numerous sectors within the AEC industry, on both proactive and forensic consulting projects.
She specializes in quality assurance and quality control procedures and management, schedule oversight, document and cost management. In Addition, she has planned and coordinated work performed by multiple trades involving safety, quality and schedule.
Prior to joining Spire, Ms. Bouhou was a Core Engineering Intern with CLEAResult and a Graduate Research Assistant for the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. At CLEAResult she supported the development of company-wide engineering best practices and tool development, and ensured current energy efficiency projects reflected federal and state energy codes.
As a graduate assistant, she developed statistical models to estimate residential energy consumption based on household characteristics, designed empirical models to assess the performance of energy efficiency measures, and analyzed multiple datasets and developed empirical models describing performance of renewable technologies.
In addition, she was previously a Construction Manager with Bouygues Construction in France where she managed the quality assurance and quality control of all-trade works and ensured compliance to building energy performance certifications.
Ms. Bouhou is fluent in French and Arabic and holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lille in France. In addition, she is currently the Vice president of the Central Texas Section of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI).
