Managing Principal, Anthony Gonzales, has been named an Executive Leadership finalist for the 2017 Greater Austin Business Awards. The category recognizes presidents, principals, and chief executive officers for devoting time and energy to strengthen and transform the organization they lead. This is the second year in a row that Mr. Gonzales has been named a finalist in this category. He has dedicated his professional career to not only positively impacting clients’ projects, but also cultivating and mentoring talented young professionals to be leaders in the construction and engineering industries.

Mr. Gonzales founded Spire Consulting Group 11 years ago, and during that time, has successfully provided construction consulting services for more than 250 projects throughout 20 countries, totaling in excess of $30 billion. He has also helped Spire successfully grow from three to 35 employees across six offices, all dedicated to helping Spire reach its vision to become the most sought-after construction consulting firm in the industry. Mr. Gonzales devotes his time to assisting his clients shape the built environment by solving and simplifying complex construction problems. He and his team have worked on several high-profile projects in Austin such as the Seaholm District, South Lamar Plaza, and the Westin Hotel.

Mr. Gonzales has also been recognized as a top industry talent by organizations such as AACE International (AACE), Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine, the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section, and Austin Under 40. He has led and participated in various top industry organizations such as AACE, the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), and the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law, to not only build a network that would help grow Spire, but also to shape the way construction management is viewed across the world.

The 2017 Greater Austin Business Awards will be held on Wednesday, August 30th at the Hilton Austin.
