AACE San Francisco Member of the Month
Nour Bouhou, Associate Consultant, has been named the June Member of the Month for the AACE San Francisco chapter. Ms. Bouhou joined AACE International in 2014 with the Central Texas Chapter. Shortly after joining, she rose to the rank of Treasurer for the 2014-2015 term and then Vice President for the 2015-2016 term before she joined the Spire San Francisco office in early 2016. One of her many accomplishments with AACE was delivering a presentation and facilitating a discussion on how statistical modeling can help predict and prevent labor shortages in the construction industry. She utilized prior research as well as her experience with Spire to reconcile statistical analytics and construction metrics in order to provide her insights on how to identify and prevent labor shortages from occurring. Ms. Bouhou holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin where her research focused on assessing the performance of demand-side management strategies and renewable technologies, and their cost and energy implications for the residential sector, using both empirical and economic modeling techniques. She has also been published in the Journal of Ecological Economics and has given presentations at the International Association of Energy Economics Annual Conference and the Asian Conference on Sustainability, Energy and the Environment.
