Spire Associate Principal, Michael Nosbisch, CCP, PSP, FAACE, will be speaking at the 5th Annual Project Controls Summit, taking place at Caltrans District 7 in Los Angeles on January 30, 2019. Hosted by the Western Council of Construction Consumers (WCCC), the 2019 Project Controls Summit gives owners and key design, engineering and construction professionals an understanding of key issues and principles that influence their ability to effectively and successfully meet their project, financial and organizational goals. During the Summit, speakers will present on project controls issues, their experiences and lessons learned, and effective means and methods that will ultimately provide attendees with insight on how to implement them successfully. In addition to speaking at the Summit, Spire is a sponsor of the event.
Mr. Nosbisch will be joined by Dr. David Hulett, FAACE, as they present Integrated Cost/Schedule Risk Analysis Using Monte Carlo Simulation of a CPM Model, which will provide an updated look at the integrated analysis of both cost and schedule risk to estimate the appropriate levels of contingency reserve on projects. As schedule risk is typically ignored in assessments of cost risk in relation to complex construction projects, Mr. Nosbisch and Dr. Hulett will discuss newly available tools that allow a full analysis of the impact of schedule uncertainty on the uncertainty in cost. Their presentation is scheduled for 2:10PM on January 30.
