Spire Consulting Group’s Nour Bouhou, PhD, Senior Consultant, was featured in the August Edition of AACE International (AACE)’s Source Magazine. The Women in Project Controls Spotlight exclusively discusses Dr. Bouhou and her deep appreciation for continued education and the advancement of the AEC industry. In addition to her background and industry engagements, the article also describes how she has actively worked towards combining her interest of statistical modeling with her civil and construction engineering background in order to positively shape the future of the industry. Dr. Bouhou served as Past Vice President and Treasurer of the AACE International Central Texas Section, and she is currently the Vice President of the AACE Bay Area Section.

Since joining Spire in 2015, Dr. Bouhou has been a key contributor to Spire’s rapid growth. She continues to implement her knowledge and expertise into all of her consulting projects, and regularly presents at industry events and conferences. Most recently, she gave a presentation attended by nearly 100 professionals on Evaluating Project Performance Using Baseline Schedules at the 2018 AACE Annual Conference & Expo.

Nour Bouhou, PhD has more than 8 years of experience in the AEC industry. She began her career as a field engineer working her way to serving as a construction consultant. In the field, she managed MEP, drywall, and finishes trades on new construction and renovation projects, in both the public and private arenas, on behalf of general contractors and developers. She coordinated safety, quality control and schedule progress via daily walks, subcontractor meetings and field directions. As a construction consultant with Spire, she provides scheduling and change order evaluation services on large scale mixed-used projects as well as military projects requiring DoD cost-loaded schedule reporting and time impact analysis requirement. In claims situations, she assists with schedule delay analyses, productivity impact assessments and damages quantifications.
