Please Welcome Justin Vogel, Associate Consultant
He developed his interest in project management while working on several prominent high-rise structures in Manhattan, New York, totaling more than one million square feet and $1 billion in total construction value.
Mr. Justin Vogel, Associate Consultant, has a background in construction project management and owner’s representation for large, high-end commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. He developed his interest in project management while working on several prominent high-rise structures in Manhattan, New York, totaling more than one million square feet and $1 billion in total construction value. Mr. Vogel also has extensive infrastructure experience, working with the Chicago Department of Transportation on biennial and fracture critical bridge inspections.
Mr. Vogel received both his Master and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a graduate of the Hoeft Technology and Management Program and the Global Leaders in Construction Management Program, where he gained a greater understanding of construction in a global context. He visited and worked with several architecture, engineering, and construction companies around the world to evaluate and analyze the differences in construction processes both domestically and internationally. Additionally, Mr. Vogel led an effort to expand the introductory engineering courses, developing a new curriculum and class projects to give students the immediate real-world experience needed to succeed in the field. He further refined his leadership skills while attending two International Business Plan Competitions in the United States and Brazil.
As a result of his accomplishments, Mr. Vogel has received multiple honors and scholarships from industry organizations such as AACE International (AACE), the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Chicago Committee on High-Rise Buildings (CCHRB). He is an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and earned his LEED Green Associate (GA) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Mr. Vogel will utilize his experience at Spire to help clients shape the built environment by proactively managing change orders, developing schedules, and implementing quality assurance and control programs. Mr. Vogel will also help clients resolve disputes in an efficient manner by apportioning delays, quantifying damages, and identifying productivity impacts for complex construction projects.
