The project is a 31-story building located at the corner of Cesar Chavez and San Jacinto and will offer spectacular views of the University of Texas campus, the State Capitol and downtown Austin’s skyline. This project will complement the existing JW Marriott Austin. The Austin Marriott Downtown will have 588 rooms of full service in addition to 64,000 square feet of meeting, exhibit and entertainment space, three bars and a street-level full-service restaurant. It will also feature an exhibit hall with floor-to-ceiling windows along a 170-foot glass wall.
Preparation and development of baseline schedule including review of plans and specifications, identification of scope of work and scheduling requirements, development of sequence and crew logic and comparison to general contractor schedule
Spire was retained to develop a baseline schedule for the client’s scope of work on the project. This included the review of plans and specifications to identify the scope of work and scheduling requirements for the project, facilitation ofa planning session with project personnel to discuss production rates, sequence and crew logic, and preparation of a fully detailed schedule with activities for mechanical and plumbing efforts on the project.
As a result of Spire’s efforts, the client was able to develop a baseline schedule reflecting the planned sequence and duration for its scope of work on the project that could be used to track progress and minimize impacts.
