Su Clinica Familiar consisted of the construction of a two-level, LEED® Certified medical and community outreach facility approximately 62,000 SF in size. Spire performed cost estimating and a quantity survey for FJW Construction Company at the request of Broaddus and Associates for the Su Clinica Familiar project.

This facility acts as a regional counterpart to another Su Clinica Familiar operated facility within the Lower Rio Grande Valley. It features a full-service pharmacy coupled with pediatric, dental, internal medicine, family medicine, and women’s care services. Included in the project scope were provisions for on-site pharmacy, lab, x-ray, night clinics, medical offices, exam rooms, conference rooms, and areas for social service programs.

The goals of the Su Clinica project included keeping the student body on campus during the workday, retaining the fully-grown trees near the middle of the site, removing the need for temporary buildings on the campus, and achieving a 50-year building life. Accomplishing these goals supports the larger purpose of providing an atmosphere conducive to learning, while also creating a safe, low maintenance, and energy-efficient environment.

Sharing our Values

One of Spire’s Core Values is Integrity. After learning Su Clinica is a proud participant in the Texas Inspector General’s (IG) Integrity Initiative, we were even more proud of supporting their project’s success.  This is a new, voluntary collaboration between the IG, Managed Care Organizations, and Medicaid providers like Su Clinica.  The program helps to develop the best Medicaid system Texas can achieve.

Cost Estimating Services

Spire Consulting Group specializes in construction cost estimating. As a specific service or as a part of overall construction management, Spire’s construction and engineering cost estimators provide our clients with detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing from a construction project’s conception phase to closeout.

Spire maintains databases of historical and current local, national, and international construction and engineering cost figures including labor, material, and equipment costs. Spire is equipped to prepare cost estimates and/or verify proposed construction costs at various stages throughout the construction process for projects around the world. By identifying and analyzing the project’s scope, time, cost, quality, and performance, Spire develops an accurate assessment of how the construction process is unfolding throughout its duration.
