Spire provided a 3-day training seminar to NGI National Constructors project managers, construction managers, site managers, project controls managers, and general managers seeking a better understanding of today’s complex construction claims management process. The course examined the roles, responsibilities, and perspectives of the parties involved in the construction claims process; provided an overview of construction claims management; demonstrated how to perform a schedule delay analysis, and determine acceleration and productivity impacts; and discussed strategies and tactics for identifying, quantifying, and presenting claims. As a result of the course, attendees learned the fundamentals necessary to implement a successful claims management program—one that helps each party reap the benefits and opportunities while minimizing potential claims. Participants also acquired an understanding of proven techniques and methods globally recognized as industry best practices to successfully plan and execute projects. The training course focused on the following topics: identifying and quantifying construction claims, performing a schedule delay analysis, evaluating acceleration and productivity impacts, and preparing and presenting construction claims.
