Spire Has a New Director of Operations: Please Welcome Rich Coffey!


SPIRE HAS A NEW DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS: PLEASE WELCOME RICH COFFEY!


 

 

Mr. Rich Coffey has nearly 20 years of experience working within operational and financial functions. He has extensive knowledge in all types of business institutions, including both large and small, public and private companies.

At Spire, Mr. Coffey focuses on improving the firm’s departmental processes and systems, allowing Spire to operate at maximum efficiency. He partners with all of Spire’s leaders to strategically plan programs for staff development, financial management, and general resource management. Mr. Coffey obtained a broader proficiency in operations management from founding his own consulting firm in Austin, TX. He specialized in providing small and mid-sized companies with premium business advisory solutions, equipping them with financial and operational strategies needed to succeed. Mr. Coffey uses his previous experience working with various types of clients to ensure best practices for scalability are met in order to streamline Spire’s growth.

Mr. Coffey’s tremendous career accomplishments have not gone unrecognized. He was the recipient of the 2017 Austin Under 40 Award in the Financial Services and Insurance category, and also made the finalist list for the Austin Business Journal’s Best CFO in Austin Award in 2014, 2016, and 2018. Mr. Coffey has obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Edward’s University as well as a Certificate in Financial Analysis and Business Valuation from Harvard Business School. In addition to the great work he has done in his career, Mr. Coffey is also immensely involved in his community, serving on the board for multiple nonprofit organizations.

In his spare time, Mr. Coffey enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons (pictured on the left). He is also passionate about football, having played the sport himself in college. These days, you can find him on the sidelines coaching a local middle school team (pictured on the right).
