For the 13th consecutive year, Spire had the opportunity to attend The State Bar of Texas Annual Construction Law Conference in San Antonio, which was held once again at the La Cantera Resort & Spa. Spire was well-represented at the Conference, with Managing Principal, Anthony Gonzales, and Managing Consultants, Jesus Schuldes and Kate Hull in attendance. The Spire team spent their time interacting with top Texas construction law professionals and driving discussions in areas such as standard of care, schedule delays, and productivity impacts. The Conference offered a multitude of insightful sessions, including “Standard, Not Optional: The Standard of Care and Design Professionals Under Texas Law,” “In-House Counsel – Groundhog Day: Moving Past Hackneyed Contract Negotiations,” and “Termination!! Will It Really Get You What You Want? (Maybe We’d Better Talk First),” just to name a few.
In conjunction with the Conference, the Spire team held their 13th Annual Dinner at Sustenio, accompanied by lively jazz duo, The Reconciliations. The authentic Texas fare and live music cultivated the ideal environment for the Spire team to reconnect with friendly faces from conferences past, as well as build new relationships within the construction law community. The team also had the opportunity to spend time maintaining and creating new relationships during the Annual Golf Tournament, at the Texas Women’s Construction Law Group Meeting, and of course, at Spire’s booth in the exhibit hall.
