Director of Finance
Mr. Aaron Clift, Director of Finance, has nearly 20 years of accounting and managerial experience within the diverse industries of construction, IT, software, consulting, and property management. Most recently, Mr. Clift spent 14 years building the accounting department for a leading data and digital transformation company. These experiences afford Mr. Clift deep knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial analysis, tax regulations, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, revenue recognition rules, and deferred revenue accounting. Specializing in understanding business needs, Mr. Clift offers a proven ability to increase a firm’s bottom line, efficiency, and accuracy of financial operations. As the firm’s strategic financial business leader, Mr. Clift is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Finance and Accounting department. He collaborates with Spire’s leaders on operational and strategic issues, including managing the firm’s financial transactions. In this Director role, Aaron Clift manages financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, audit and control, working capital, and cash controls. Additionally, he works alongside the Managing Principal to continuously improve processes and procedures to keep the firm running at peak efficiency. Mr. Clift has a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University. Aaron Clift is a QuickBooks Advanced Certified ProAdvisor. A QuickBooks ProAdvisor is an accounting or bookkeeping professional that is trained, tested and certified by Intuit on a range of advanced, QuickBooks specific topics and subject matter. Certification involves extensive training, a two-hour exam, and a yearly recertification exam.
