POSITION SUMMARY

Spire is currently seeking an Estimating Lead for our headquarters in downtown Austin. 

The Estimating Lead will be responsible for leading job-specific project teams in preparing preliminary budgets, milestone cost estimates, and final bid scope/pricing proposals for various types of commercial construction jobs, including: General Contracting, Construction Management, Design Build, Civil, and Building Maintenance Services. In the process, the Estimating Lead trains, mentors, and builds effective relationships with internal team members through a hands-on approach to producing estimate-based deliverables.

The Estimating Lead will be an integral part of Spire’s leadership and commitment to the Spire team and the industry. 

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Minimum 15+ years estimating construction experience
  • Professional certification(s) from AACE (CEP and/or CCP) or ASPE (CPE) preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Timberline, HeavyBid, WinEst, MII
  • Significant knowledge and experience on CM/GC, Design Build projects, and complex competitive bid projects
  • Proven track record of success working internally with an operations team and externally with Owners, Architects/Engineers, and subcontractors
