What Does 20 Years of Impact at Spire Consulting Group, LLC Mean?
20 years ago, we set out to build something different. Not just a consulting firm, but a force for impact in the built environment. We believed that if we brought together the right people, aligned around a common purpose, we could do more than deliver great work. We could shape the industry, strengthen communities, and leave a lasting mark on the world around us.
We began as a firm focused on dispute resolution-helping clients navigate complex construction challenges. As the industry evolved, so did we. Today, Spire has grown into a full-service partner, delivering project controls, project management, and construction advisory services to better support our clients at every stage of the project lifecycle.
Our growth reflects the trust our clients place in us and our commitment to meeting their needs with insight, expertise, and purpose. From hundreds of projects across the globe to meaningful impact in the communities we serve, our mission remains unchanged as we have accomplished the following:

Spire Founded
Spire Consulting Group founded with the vision to build something different. Not just a consulting firm, but a force for impact in the built environment. We believed that if we brought together the right people, aligned around a common purpose, we could do more than deliver great work. We could shape the industry, strengthen communities, and leave a lasting mark on the world around us.
Headquarters Relocation
The company's headquarters were relocated to the historic Norwood Tower in Downtown Austin.
Expansion into San Francisco
Spire expanded its operations with a new presence in San Francisco.
Strategic Identity, Marquee and International Projects Reached
Spire strategic identity and core values aligned with firm vision and long term goals. Spire engaged in first international project for Risk Assessment on $1.2 Billion Highway 401 Expansion for Ministry of Transportation in Toronto, Canada.
$1 Billion Major Project
Spire was engaged in a project controls role for the $1B+ Parkland Hospital project in Dallas, Texas.
South America Expansion and Award
Spire expanded its project portfolio into South America, and its leadership received an Austin Under 40 Award.
Industry Recognition and Marquee Project
Spire's leadership received the AACE Charles V. Keane Distinguished Service Award and engaged in first project in Latin America with 200 MW Power Station in Costa Rica and Marquee $5 Billion Panama Canal Expansion.
Expansion into Miami
Spire expanded its operations with a new presence in Miami, FL.
10th Anniversary and Further Expansion
Spire celebrated its 10th anniversary, expanded its international work to Abu Dhabi, Panama, and Southeast Asia, and moved its Austin HQ to the 13th floor of the Norwood Tower. Spire was also recognized with a Greater Austin Business Award for Community.
Awards and Industry Leadership
Spire received a Greater Austin Business Award for Executive Leadership. A member of Spire's leadership was elected to the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Board of Directors as Speaker of the Senate.
Service Line Launch and Major Milestones
Spire began work on a $19B bond with AISD and AECOM, and completed its 500th project. Leadership was restructured, service lines were formalized, and the firm earned recognition in Who's Who Legal for Expert Witnesses, while leadership also received the University of Texas Outstanding Young Alumnus Award and a Project Management College of Scheduling Fellow designation.
Industry Leadership and Market Expansion
Spire leadership elected as AACE President and expanded its presence with a new office in Houston, TX.
Expert Witness Engagement on Major Dispute
Spire was involved in expert witness engagement for major dispute with over $1B in damages.
Seattle Expansion and New Appointments
Spire expanded into Seattle, WA. Directors appointed for Project Controls service line, and Spire leader named a Fellow of AACE International.
Award-Winning Year and New Headquarters
Spire was named the 2023 Diverse Business of the Year by the Associated General Contractors of America and moved its headquarters to the RiverSouth "smartest building in downtown Austin."
Leadership and Midwest Expansion
The company expanded its C-Suite roles, and its leadership was recognized in the CEO/Top Site Leader category at the Greater Austin Business Awards. Spire expanded into the Midwest and welcomed return of founding partner to serve as Director for its Construction Advisory service line.
Continued Growth and Industry Leadership
The Spire team presented multiple papers at the AACE International Conference and was recognized with ACG ASA's Growth Award. Its leadership served as a CDR Sub-Committee Chair and on two ASCE Standards Committees and marks the addition of Forensic Accounting & Fraud Advisory capabilities to Dispute Resolution Services.
