Orlando Sellers, PhD, MBA, is a global industrial executive, forensic engineering expert, and court-qualified expert witness with more than 30 years of experience leading complex engineering, manufacturing, and operational organizations.

At Spire Consulting Group, Dr. Sellers provides expert analysis and testimony in matters involving patent infringement, product liability, quality failures, industrial automation systems, equipment installation, and complex manufacturing processes.

Dr. Sellers brings a unique combination of technical depth and executive leadership experience to dispute resolution and advisory engagements. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles with Fortune 500 and private equity-backed companies across industries including advanced manufacturing, material handling, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, mining  equipment, and aerospace supply chains. In these roles, he held full P&L responsibility while leading large engineering and operations teams, implementing operational excellence initiatives, and delivering complex capital equipment and integrated systems.

In litigation and dispute settings, Dr. Sellers assists legal teams in evaluating engineering evidence, assessing system performance, and explaining highly technical issues in a clear and structured manner for courts, arbitration panels, and juries. His work frequently involves evaluating design decisions, manufacturing processes, system integration, commissioning practices, and the operational impact of engineering failures or product defects.

Dr. Sellers is also an inventor and researcher whose work spans advanced manufacturing systems, automation, and industrial product development. He holds multiple U.S. patents and has contributed to academic research that has been widely cited in engineering and operations disciplines. In addition to his industry experience, he has served as a university instructor teaching courses in operations management, supply chain management, engineering design, and mechatronics.
