Spire Consulting Group Hosts 2026 Construction Advisory Summit

Industry leaders gathered in Austin for candid conversations on schedule disruption, risk management, and claims avoidance.

AUSTIN, TX — September 2026

Spire Consulting Group recently welcomed construction executives and industry professionals to its Austin headquarters for the 2026 Construction Advisory Summit: Schedule Disruption & Claims Avoidance, a two-day forum focused on managing risk and improving the delivery of complex capital projects.

Held September 17–18, the Summit brought together professionals from across the construction industry, including representatives from leading contractors, owners, and consulting organizations. Participants included professionals from JE Dunn Construction, Hensel Phelps, Hines, Hill & Wilkinson, Joeris, EllisDon, Turner, STV, The Newtron Group, Triad Electric and Controls, Keller North America, and other organizations.

Designed as an interactive executive forum rather than a traditional conference, the Summit created an environment for open discussion around the challenges affecting today’s major capital projects. Expert panels, roundtable discussions, and peer-to-peer conversations explored schedule disruption, emerging project risks, claims avoidance, and the decisions project leaders can make to improve outcomes.

Throughout the two-day event, participants shared perspectives on identifying early indicators of schedule risk, navigating owner and contractor expectations, managing uncertainty, and understanding how project decisions can influence financial performance and dispute exposure.

The discussions reinforced a central theme: effective risk management begins well before a project reaches the claims stage. Early communication, reliable project controls, informed decision-making, and collaboration among stakeholders can help project teams identify issues sooner and respond before challenges escalate.

The Summit also provided an opportunity for attendees to learn directly from one another. By bringing together professionals with different roles and perspectives, Spire sought to create candid conversations about both the challenges facing the industry and the practical lessons organizations can apply to future projects.

“We wanted to create an environment where industry leaders could sit in the same room, speak openly about the risks they are encountering, and learn from each other’s experiences,” said Anthony Gonzales, Managing Principal of Spire Consulting Group. “The quality of the conversations and willingness of attendees to share their perspectives made the Summit a success.”

The 2026 Construction Advisory Summit reflects Spire’s broader commitment to helping organizations strengthen project delivery, proactively manage risk, and navigate the increasingly complex challenges surrounding major capital programs.

Following the success of this year’s event, Spire looks forward to continuing the conversations and bringing industry leaders together again for the next Construction Advisory Summit.
