The $30 million Buckley Air Force Base Visitors Quarters/Temporary Lodging Facility was approximately 15.5 acres with 30 temporary lodging facility units and 120 visitors quarters units including an administration area. The buildings were to be constructed of light gage steel structures upon reinforced concrete foundations and drilled piers with a prefinished metal roof. The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE) administered construction of the project on behalf of the Department of the Air Force. AFCEE retained a consulting firm to assist in oversight of the construction of the Project. Spire Consulting Group was subcontracted to that consulting firm as its CPM schedule and construction cost estimating experts.
